This event is part of the second phase of the Government’s Event Research Programme. It’s gonna be a 10,000 capacity camping festival in Donington Park!
All attendees will have been tested before entry, so you can rock out without masks or any social distancing.

This announcement is such a time capsule — the presale dates, the “pilot” wording, all of it. Hope the set went off and the crowd actually felt safe with the testing setup. Total aside: the phrase “back to normal” made me think of those little self-improvement rabbit holes, like fun hairstyle ai ideas when you’re trying to feel like yourself again.
I’d forgotten this was the year where a lot of plans were still “maybe” until the last second — announcing a slot like this must’ve felt both amazing and nerve-wracking.
